2025-ben ünnepli 170 éves fennállását a budapesti református teológia, egyetemünk Hittudományi Karának jogelődje. A jeles évforduló alkalmából rendezett, október 10-i jubileumi Dies Natalis ünnepségen vehette át tiszteletbeli doktori címét Matthias Konradt, a Heidelbergi Egyetem professzora, aki évek óta szoros kapcsolatot ápol a Hittudományi Karral.
Az esemény keretében Konradt professzor vendégelőadást tartott „Máté és Pál etikája – Párbeszédkísérlet” címmel.
Ugyanezen az ünnepi eseményen Willem van den Brink, holland lelkipásztor a „Károli Egyetem Támogatója” díjat vehette át, elismerésül azért, hogy több mint 25 éve támogatja a Hittudományi Kar elsőéves hallgatóit héber és görög nyelvű Bibliákkal. A Hittudományi Kar dékánja, Prof. Dr. Literáty Zoltán holland nyelven köszöntötte a holland vendégeket.
Az ünnepi laudációkat egyetemünk Hittudományi Doktori Iskolájának vezetője, Prof. Dr. Balla Péter rektorhelyettes olvasta fel.
Szintén ezen az ünnepi alkalmon vehette át doktori diplomáját Németh Balázs, aki Újszövetség-tudomány szakterületen szerzett PhD fokozatot egyetemünk Hittudományi Doktori Iskolájában.
On the occasion of the Dies Natalis of the legal predecessor of the Theological Faculty of our university, which was founded on 10th October 1855 as a theological seminary, on 10th October 2025 the Faculty of Theology had a major festive event, part of which was presenting the degree doctor honoris causa to Prof. Dr. Matthias Konradt, who is ordinarius professor for New Testament at the University of Heidelberg. On this occasion Professor Konradt gave a guest lecture, entitled: “Matthew’s and Paul’s Ethics. Constructing a Dialogue.” Professor Konradt was accompanied by his wife, Dr. Beate Konradt.
On the same festive occasion, the Reverend Willem van den Brink received the award “Supporter of Károli University”, for supporting the first-year theological students of the Faculty of Theology for more than 25 years with Hebrew and Greek Bibles. Reverend van den Brink was accompanied by his grandson, Lars de Kleine. The Dean of the Faculty of Theology, Prof. Dr. Zoltán Literáty greeted the Dutch guests in Dutch language.
The laudations were read by the head of the doctoral school in theology at our university, Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Péter Balla.
Professor Balla also handed over the PhD diploma for the Reverend Dr. Balázs Németh, who completed his PhD programme in the field of New Testament studies in the doctoral school in theology at our university. Reverend Németh was accompanied by his wife, the Reverend Némethné, Márta Bodnár.
