MOFA Scholarship

Fall 2021 & Spring 2022

Taiwan – Providence University

• One-year Chinese (Mandarin) learning programme
• Study period: September 2021 ~ August 2022
• Applicants can apply for the regular KRE-PU exchange program as well, in which case scholarship recipients can take not only Chinese language courses but also academic courses

The MOFA scholarship includes the following benefits:

1. Round-trip plane ticket fare
2. Airport pick up
3. 15-day quarantine fee in Quarantine Hotels
4. Registration fee and 1-year tuition fee
5. Cultural activities and field trips
6. Dormitory Fee (3-bed room or 4-bed room) for 1 year
7. Bedding set

Scholarship recipients are responsible for the Visa application, Coronavirus (Covid-19) test, Application of Alien Residence Certificate (ARC), Insurance, and personal living expense.

Application requirements:

• Hungarian citizenship
• at least one completed semester at the time of application
• GPA 3.5/5.00 or above
• CEFR B2 level knowledge of English
• the applicant should major in East-Asian Studies at KRE

Chinese language knowledge is not a must but it is an advantage.

Documents to be submitted:

• filled-in application form
• one-page motivation letter written in English (or Chinese)
• your academic transcript (pdf file from Neptun)
• your GPA (printed from Neptun)

Application deadline: March 1st, 2021, 16:00 CET

Online interviews will take place between March 3rd and 10th. Results will be announced on March 12th.
