Open Access Statement – Minority Protection

The Minority Protection Journal is committed to the principles of open access to ensure the broadest possible dissemination of research and scholarly work. Our open-access policy includes the following key elements:

  1. Immediate Accessibility: All articles published in the Minority Protection Journal are made freely and permanently accessible online immediately upon publication. This ensures that research is universally and freely accessible via the Internet in an easily readable format, without subscription charges or registration barriers.

  1. Creative Commons Licensing: The Journal releases its articles under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license allows for unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original author(s)/editor(s) are appropriately attributed. This includes the right to download, reuse, reprint, modify, distribute, and/or copy the articles.

  1. Author Rights: Authors who publish in the Minority Protection Journal retain both the copyrights and the publishing rights to their work. They are encouraged to share their research widely on personal websites, institutional repositories, and non-commercial subject-based repositories.

  1. Permanent Availability: As a University Journal, Minority Protection ensures that all publications are deposited immediately upon publication on the corresponding homepage of the Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary. This commitment is maintained retrospectively (with regard to issues that were published by the previous publisher, the Budapest-based Institute for the Protection of Minority Rights) and prospectively, ensuring that all content remains permanently accessible.

  1. High Standards and Quality: The Minority Protection Journal upholds high-quality standards in peer review, editorial processes, and publishing services. All content, including research articles, essays, book reviews, and case law reviews, undergo rigorous peer review to ensure the integrity and quality of the research published.

  1. Global Exchange of Knowledge: By making research freely available, the Journal aims to support and contribute to the global exchange of knowledge, benefiting authors who gain increased visibility for their work and allowing academic institutions easier access to relevant research results.
